How it works

What to send us
The better the photo, the better the sketch. Here's what works best.
Photo tips
- One main subject: a pet, a favourite toy, the birthday cake or a special object, with nothing else competing for attention.
- Good, even light: daylight near a window or outdoors in the shade works best. Avoid flash, harsh shadows and dark rooms.
- A plain, simple background: a wall, a floor, grass or a sheet behind the subject makes for a cleaner sketch.
- Sharp and in focus: hold the phone steady and tap the subject to focus. Blurry photos lose the details we draw from.
- High resolution: send the original photo from your camera roll, not a screenshot or a photo of a photo.
- Fill the frame: get close so the subject is big in the picture, and keep the whole subject in the shot (no cut-off ears or tails).
